Opening hours
Open 8am–9.30pm every day except Thursday. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays the competition pool opens early, at 6.30am. The badge on the right shows whether it’s open right now.
Which pool is open when
Between 6.30am and 8am only the competition pool is open, for lap swimming. The teaching pool, the wading pool and the water playground open at 8am, and everything closes at 9.30pm.
Woodlands Sport Centre, which runs the pool, is closed for a staff event. ActiveSG lists the closure for the “entire facility” of Woodlands Sport Centre. The pool’s own closure listing doesn’t mention it, so call 6269 4192 before you go.

Closed every Thursday, except on public holidays
Thursday is Woodlands’ weekly maintenance day, and the whole complex is closed. If a public holiday falls on a Thursday, it opens 8am–9.30pm instead. Each ActiveSG pool has its own maintenance day, so on a Thursday you can swim at any of these:

Weekends and public holidays
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays run 8am–9.30pm, with no early competition-pool slot at weekends. Entry costs a little more on these days: $1.30 instead of $1.00 for adults, and 60 cents instead of 50 for children and seniors.
Lightning and bad weather
All three pools are outdoors. When there’s lightning or thunder, staff clear the pools and ActiveSG holds admission until it’s safe. Check NEA’s weather nowcast before you set off on a stormy afternoon.
Closures and renovation
ActiveSG posts one-off closures on its facility closures page, and the Woodlands Sport Centre Facebook page posts closure notices too. The pool can also turn swimmers away for a while when it’s overcrowded.
Renovation: none is announced for the pools. Sport Singapore’s 2025–26 refresh of Woodlands Sport Centre covered the sports hall floor, the walls, the facade and a new running track at the stadium. The pools weren’t on the list, and the refresh was meant to be done without long closures.

All three pools are open 8am–9.30pm every day except Thursday. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday the competition pool also opens early, 6.30am–8am, for lap swimmers. The complex is closed all day on Thursdays for maintenance.
Is Woodlands Swimming Complex open on Thursday?
No. It closes every Thursday for weekly maintenance. The exception is a Thursday that is a public holiday: then it opens 8am–9.30pm. The nearest pools open on Thursdays are Bukit Canberra, Choa Chu Kang, Senja-Cashew and Yishun.
Is Woodlands Swimming Complex being renovated?
No. Sport Singapore refreshed Woodlands Sport Centre in 2025–26, but the works were the sports hall floor, walls, the facade and a new running track, not the pools. ActiveSG has announced a one-day closure of the Sport Centre on Wednesday 7 October 2026 for a staff event.
